Referral Services

Our firm does not litigate cases. This means we will not represent you in court. Our focus is helping to settle your case and help you to file your documents as a "pro-se" party. If you follow this strategy, you will spend a minimum amount on legal fees and save a great deal of time and emotional heart ache.

However, in any contested cases it is almost always necessary that you be represented by counsel because your case will end up in court or in a master's hearing and you will not have sufficient knowledge of procedure or evidence to represent yourself competently. We do not recommend that anyone represent themselves in a contested case.

In these cases, we can refer you to one or more litigation attorneys whose practice emphasizes divorce or civil litigation and who subscribe to our philosophy of involving the client in every step of litigation. The hourly fee of our panel of attorneys ranges from $100.00 an hour to $175.00, depending on the experience of the attorney.

When we refer a case to a litigation attorney, we stay involved in the case and provide counsel to your litigation attorney. We also help manage your relationship with the litigation attorney. For this service we receive a referral fee from the attorney to whom we refer your case. Your total fee is not increased by our referral fee.
